Snow at the tropic

Day 1:

10:00 p.m. We pick you up at your hotel or accommodation place in Bogotá and depart to the state of Boyacá on a journey of approximately 9 hours with several road breaks.

 

Day 2:

8:00 a.m. Arrival to the municipality of El Cocuy, breakfast, Check-in at the Hotel and time for rest.

1:00 p.m. Lunch

2:00 p.m. Registration at the National Natural Parks of Colombia. Talk and recommendations to enter to El Cocuy National Natural Park

3:00 p.m. City tour. We will tour the urban area of El Cocuy learning about the history, architecture, and economy of the locals.

4:30 p.m. Purchase of food for lunch the next day at the snowy.

5:30 p.m. Back to the hotel. Free time.

 

 

Day 3:

4:00 a.m. Breakfast and departure to the Sierra Nevada del Cocuy

5:30 a.m. Trekking, hiking, and ascent.
Walking the points of:
° Valle de the Frailejones
° Cave of the man
° Rabbit's passage
° The Big lagoon of the sierra
° Sighting of the Peaks ''Sugar Bread'', ''Pulpit of the Devil'', ''Concave and concavito'', ''Peak Portals'' and ''Ritak'uwa''

5.00 p.m Return to the municipality of El Cocuy

 

Day 4:

9:00 a.m. Breakfast and Check-out

10:00 a.m. Natural hot spring pool in Guicán de la Sierra

11:00 a.m. Return to Bogotá

2:00 p.m. Time for lunch on the road

8:00 p.m. Return to your hotel or place of accommodation in Bogotá.

Due to politics of the National Park Sierra Nevada El Cocuy this tour must be booked with 15 days of anticipation.
